Bleach, oh Bleach... after all these years, I still love you so dearly...♥

^_^ Back in 2004, I got to watch the first episode of Bleach as it aired, as I was in Japan then, staying with a host family whose daughter liked anime quite well...

after that, it's been on and off with Bleach for me... for a time I actually watched as it aired - while I was in Japan, of course, but also at home, downloading as soon as the episode came online and watching it as soon as possible.

but a lot of times, I would also accumulate a bunch of episodes (no time to watch right a way, and then I was suddenly so behind I wasn't able to really catch up...) and then watch them in marathon fashion.

so, sometime last year, (or the year before? ^^;) I left off at about episode 250...(after marathoning about 50 episodes if I remember right...).

last weekend? yeah, I suddenly felt the intense NEED to watch Bleach again. I downloaded all the episodes I was missing in one day (around 60 - there are 343 out - XD the mind somewhat boggles at this number...) and started watching again.

and as everytime before, I'm once again totally caught up in it, enthralled by it, in love with it. ^__^ I watched almost 50 episodes since last Saturday...XD

AND IT'S THE BIG BATTLE NOW (er...again after the Zanpakutou arc cut in between)... :D

and what made me write this entry? they just had an episode, where they summarized all of Ichigo's important battles... and that made me realize just how long I've been watching and loving this show. ♥♥♥

And that just makes me happy. ^_^


A/N: maybe I should have said this from the beginning... today was a particularly good day to watch Bleach, as it's easier to watch TV when holding an ice pack to your jaw than doing anything else that requires both hands (computer, turning pages on a book, cleaning etc.)...

I had some dental surgery this morning (they had to cut off the tip of the root of one of my teeth because it kept getting infected, even after I had a root canal done on that tooth, within my jaw bone. -.-" so, she actually had to drill a hole into the bone in order to remove the offending tip and the inflamed tissue around it (which apparently almost resembled a cyst...) and then fill it with something that can't get inflamed....

I really really hope this does the trick this time, as this is the tooth I had a root canal done 6 years ago, had said root canal revised (aka filling removed and redone!) last winter because it had gotten inflamed, and then had to go back to the dentist again a couple of weeks ago because there was yet another inflammation. -.-"

So, I'm on pain killers now and feeling as if someone has punched me in the face. *sigh*

anyway, enough of yucky teeth stories... there's still stuff I need to do and there is also a birthday party the boy and I need to show up tonight - at least for a little while. ^^;

good news first:

my most recent fangirl moment as I'm catching up with things...

Tanuma: I see, it's a good thing he's not a girl. I would have felt a little bit jealous.

*grins* Now, I know it's not meant like that but, but....^_________^ And I just love Natsume. He makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over.

Skip Beat just gives me one aww-moment after the other when I'm not too caught up wanting to beat some sense into those people. Seriously. XD Can't you just get over yourselves and get together already? ♥ ♥!

I'm also slowly catching up with Gundam 00 (ep. 12) and Macross Frontier (ep. 20)...

All in all, however, I'm kind of missing real fangirling. It's not that there aren't shows I enjoy watching, and I do have aww and omg moments here and there (see above), but it seems like it's been forever since I got really caught up in something that I can squee over, go looking for fanfic/fanart like I have nothing better to do, make up my own stories etc...

The last time I felt really enthusiastic about something fannish was Supernatural, but that was quite a while ago. Now I haven't even watched the most recent episodes of the show, although I still love Sam/Dean. I still read the occasional fanfic (usually HP or SPN), but while I do enjoy it, I rarely get caught up in it the way I used to. Even Natsume, who I totally adore can't make me feel compelled to try and find my way into the fandom.

So, I'm watching other people squee over fandom related things and can't help feeling a little bit lost, because it used to be such a big part of my life, and I really miss the feeling of totally getting into a fandom. There's still liking and love....but no obsessing over and there bloody well SHOULD BE! T_T my life feels incomplete this way.

I can't watch Naruto Shippuuden on Crunchyroll for free. And I don't mean the simulcast, which I totally understand that you have to pay for it.

No, I mean not ANY Naruto Shippuuden episode, no matter how old.

Once again we get screwed over for not being in the US, even though they said "world wide access".

Now, I know $7/month is not that much, BUT IT'S TOO FUCKING MUCH CONSIDERING HOW MUCH I ALREADY PAY FOR TV AND INTERNET! Especially since I often watch anime on the train where I don't have internet, so streaming is generally not really an option for me.

I don't mind waiting a week or two to watch new episodes, so I can watch them for free. Really, I don't. But this? NOT COOL!

Ah, I was gently reminded that I haven't updated in quite a while. Since I could never deny the lovely lady who made the request, I'm here, as promised. ♥


But although a lot has happened since my last entry, I still kind of feel like I don't have anything important to say. Too much going on in my head, perhaps?

I'm going tol give it a try, anyway.

We watched all of Season 1 of Supernatural over the weekend, plus the first episode of Season 2, and also some interviews and stuff... *thud*

I KNOW why I don't watch TV shows very often. Because when I do I fall. And I fall HARD.

With anime, despite how much in love I am with certain shows and characters, there's always somewhere in the back of my mind the knowledge that it's not real. The characters can't be real. (*cough* maybe with the exception of Wufei, who's become so much a part of me it's scary....) Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my anime. I am deeply in love with those characters, too; seeing them suffer breaks my heart (oh Fay...) and seeing them happy makes me happy, as well. But there is a certain distance.

But with TV shows, everything is so much more REAL. They are people in flesh and blood and seem so much more touchable. So much more RIGHT THERE. So very human.

So now, my head is full of Sam and Dean and Dean and Sam and, oh, Jared and Jensen and NOTHING ELSE, even though I should study for my finals, finish up my yuletide fic, catch up on finish belina's advent calendar, write a final paper, do homework etc.

Boys? This is really not a good time. I have obligations, you know? *headdesk*

So. I'm at work.

I would rather not be at work. I usually don't mind my job, but today is one of those days where you don't feel like working at all, no matter how much you like your job. It's hot. And stuffy. And I can see the glittering lake from my office window. *pout* No fair.

Anyway, I got back from Austria yesterday (yes, yes, I completely forgot to make an entry that I was going in the first place. ^^; I was going to last Friday, but then things got insanely busy at work and I never got around doing it.) Much fun was had, as always when I'm with iniq *squish* We went to Vienna (one day), we went swimming in the river (two days), we had icecream (every day), we went shopping (a lot) and generally enjoyed being lazy. ^___^

Tomorrow morning I'm flying to Germany to attend a wedding (whee, pretty dress!) I'll be back Sunday night.

I'm working full time at the moment, so I'm not home much. I'm taking advantage of belina's generosity and staying with her most nights during the week. There's so much construction around the trainstation in Bern at the moment that it takes me at least 2 hours to get to work. One way. >.<. I'll have to endure it tomorrow and Tuesday, though, since I have choir practice tomorrow night. *sigh* I'm glad it's only last and this week. And another 3 weeks in August. Oh well.
