alive through night and day

..and home for the moment... or better, for the next hour or so. Then I'm off again to visit a friend who spontaneously invited me to spend one or two nights at her place. She's going to be working in France from April to November, so I really want to use the opportunity to spend time with her.

I had an absolutely great weekend with two friends I met in Japan and who are very, very dear to me. We had so much fun and it made me really happy to be able to show them a tiny bit of the country I live in and love and take them to places that are important to me. You know everything is perfect when two of your guy friends talk about other women but still manage to make you feel special and treasured. *grins* I'll try and get a few pictures online when I get back.

It was also an entire weekend of speaking Japanese, and I realized how much I miss it and also how much I still have to learn. >.<.
However, on the same topic, I got also great news this week. *beams* I passed the Japanese proficiency test I took last December. ^_______^ So happy. I honestly didn't expect to pass but now I'm happy all the more that I did. I didn't get a very good score, but I passed and that is all that counts at the moment. ^^;

On the anime front: I finally finished Harukanaru Toki no Naka de. I was a bit surprised that I was fine with the ending as it was since I had heard things about it that made me uneasy. No real problem there, though. I just wish that more people would write fanfic for this series with its vast potential with so many things left open, and at least 10 dead gorgeous men! *laughs* So many possible combinations.... And with that pleasant thought I leave once again, but I'll be back soon.

Back online! well, at least technically....*cough*

I'm at my parents' house right now and internet is wonky as hell... we don't know why yet, but it seems that our DSL modem decides to randomly reset itself all the time....-.-
Right now it's working, so there's hope that it will stay like this for a while. *crosses fingers*

But! That is why I missed alleyprowler's birthday yesterday. >_> so,

On the computer front: It turned out that I had to completely reformat my computer. Everything we tried to fix it (like de-and reinstalling certain programs etc) seemed to make it worse >.<. And yes, that would be the new computer-.- But at least it works now without a problem. So far. *cough* Time will tell.

Anyway, I am - surprise, surprise *snerk* - really busy at the moment. Homework, studying Japanese, practicing the songs I'm singing in church next week, and trying to get Christmas cards and presents ready to send out.

Also, I feel the urge to make new icons...but I really don't have time for that. Woe... because even if I'm procrastinating on the Japanese study front, actually /doing/ something else makes me feel bad. -.-

On completely different note, this year's fall is more than wonderful. Nice weather almost every day, exceptionally warm and nice, and the colors are stunning! ^____^ Makes me happy.

July somehow snuck up on me without my noticing. It might be denial, since July means that finals are coming up in 2 weeks...and it means that, although I am staying here until September, a bunch of my friends are leaving soon. It will also be hard to meet people since school is going to be done. *cries*

I really wish I could stop time right here. I don't want this to be over.
