dysis! Thank you so much for the lovely postcard. That was a totally unexpected but oh so pleasant surprise. ^_^ It seems to have made a bit of a detour to my old address, though. ^^; I'll make sure you get the new one soon. *snugs* ♥!

So, I'm back. And back at work, too. Woe. I should also be writing my bachelor thesis. Not quite time to panic yet, but getting closer. ^^;

Camp was good, although quite exhausting (max of 5 1/2 hours sleep/night plus no time to myself is just not enough...am I getting old? XP). I've caught up on sleep, caught up on me-time, feeling social again. However...

...this is where the bad comes in. Despite knowing better I'd been hoping that the LJ mess would clear up while I was gone. Instead I come back and see that what's happening is exactly what I feared - people are scattering. I'm not really afraid of losing track of people as in not being able to find them again. But trying to keep up to date with everyone, trying to keep up with all the comments made to everyone's x-posted entries, trying to figure out who is posting primarily where... it's way more than I can handle at the moment with work and my thesis hovering over my head. I really don't have the time to constantly check 3 flists (yes, I do have a GJ here and an IJ here). But I don't want to miss anything either. ;_;

I hate you, LJ/6A, I hate you for taking away my safe and happy playground where I was able to keep in touch with all those friends I've met and made over the years, even during times when I didn't have a lot of online time.

I'm at a loss as to what to do right now. I can't really leave LJ since this is still where most of my friends are, but I don't want to lose touch with those who are going somewhere else, either. If I keep my LJ, do I renew my paid account? I don't want to give my money to LJ/6A, but I like the conveniences of a paid account here. Furthermore, problems with IJ and GJ seem to have already started. I haven't been able to access IJ at all today. -.-"

Bleh.

July somehow snuck up on me without my noticing. It might be denial, since July means that finals are coming up in 2 weeks...and it means that, although I am staying here until September, a bunch of my friends are leaving soon. It will also be hard to meet people since school is going to be done. *cries*

I really wish I could stop time right here. I don't want this to be over.

Also... I just cleaned up my closet (the one with my clothing).... and I had to realize that "insane amount of clothing" does, in fact, not quite cover it. *flat look*

That's it for now. Must clean my room and do my homework, and then go to uni to attend an event where there is free food, because free food=good. Mwehe.

They left today... *sniffles a little*.

The day started out pretty well, but then it just got worse and worse. We left my house on time, but then we got stuck in traffic jam near Zurich.

When we finally got to the airport, I dropped them off at the drop-off/pick-up parking and had them go check in their bags while I was looking for a parking spot on the parking ramp.

So far, so good. When I got to the check-in...they were still there WITH their bags.... one of their flights had been cancelled! So they got booked on another one which was supposed to leave an hour later for Toronto and would allow them to catch their original flight from Detroit to Appleton, but they were put on stand-by since the flight was overbooked.

I assume they got on it, though, since they didn't call me asking to pick them up again. ^_^

I hope they make it back in one piece and on time. *crosses fingers*

Now luckily, I don't really have time wallow in misery since iniq will arrive here tomorrow afternoon. I finally get to meet her. Wheeeeee!

*rubs hands, smirks, and starts making plans*

Upstairs, shdlm (Bill Murray) breaks duonekophile (Steve Martin)'s old 100-meter-dash record, but nobody sees it happen. Wackiness ensues.
