I had my (early) birthday party yesterday, and it was so much fun! ^_^ It was the first time that I actually had a party at my apartment (gotta test the limits at one point, right? XD), and it worked out just fine. Looks like I can keep having parties here... *GRINS*.
There was lots of good food, tea, punch, and presents, much love and attention and even a bit of sunshine, so a perfect afternoon if you ask me. ^________^
I even managed to get my apartment ready with all the new stuff I bought/made (courtesy of not much sleep and neglecting school last week. *cough*), which made the day even more perfect. *smile*
Right now, a friend from Japan is visiting and we went up into the mountains today, enjoying the sun and the snow and the absolutely wonderful scenery.
The only thing that's missing now is spring. I'm sick of the cold. I want spring. NOW! With flowers and birds chirping and lots of warmth and sunshine. Please?

So, we had our first concert tonight (one out of three).... and I couldn't sing. -.-" My throat hurts like a bitch and my voice is gone due to a nasty cold. Worst timing EVER. I can't believe it! *seethes* And I was so careful, too, always wearing a scarf, getting enough vitamins etc. ;_; So not fair. The next concert is tomorrow, so I really hope my throat is better by then. It'd better be. *gnashes teeth*

dysis! Thank you so much for the lovely postcard. That was a totally unexpected but oh so pleasant surprise. ^_^ It seems to have made a bit of a detour to my old address, though. ^^; I'll make sure you get the new one soon. *snugs* ♥!

So, I'm back. And back at work, too. Woe. I should also be writing my bachelor thesis. Not quite time to panic yet, but getting closer. ^^;
Camp was good, although quite exhausting (max of 5 1/2 hours sleep/night plus no time to myself is just not enough...am I getting old? XP). I've caught up on sleep, caught up on me-time, feeling social again. However...
...this is where the bad comes in. Despite knowing better I'd been hoping that the LJ mess would clear up while I was gone. Instead I come back and see that what's happening is exactly what I feared - people are scattering. I'm not really afraid of losing track of people as in not being able to find them again. But trying to keep up to date with everyone, trying to keep up with all the comments made to everyone's x-posted entries, trying to figure out who is posting primarily where... it's way more than I can handle at the moment with work and my thesis hovering over my head. I really don't have the time to constantly check 3 flists (yes, I do have a GJ here and an IJ here). But I don't want to miss anything either. ;_;
I hate you, LJ/6A, I hate you for taking away my safe and happy playground where I was able to keep in touch with all those friends I've met and made over the years, even during times when I didn't have a lot of online time.
I'm at a loss as to what to do right now. I can't really leave LJ since this is still where most of my friends are, but I don't want to lose touch with those who are going somewhere else, either. If I keep my LJ, do I renew my paid account? I don't want to give my money to LJ/6A, but I like the conveniences of a paid account here. Furthermore, problems with IJ and GJ seem to have already started. I haven't been able to access IJ at all today. -.-"
