a wonderful and happy new year to all of you, and may your dreams and wishes come true!

I know, I'm rather late with it being the 2nd here already, but new years eve was terribly busy and yesterday was spent in utter and most wonderful laziness with the boy. ^_^♥

however, although I'm late to the party, I didn't come empty-handed.

through the last 1 1/2 years, a particular soundtrack to a german movie called 'einohrhasen' (~"one-eared bunnies") has been my constant companion. I don't know how many times I've woken up and fallen asleep listening to it, and I'm still not tired of it in the least. I fell in love with this soundtrack without having seen the movie (in fact, I didn't watch it until about a week ago, though it turned out to be a great movie, too) after one of my best friends sent me a mix cd to the big scout camp in summer 08 that had two of the songs from the soundtrack on it. I liked them so much that I got the rest of the soundtrack as soon as I got home from camp, listened to it... and couldn't get enough of it.

now, in december, a sequel to einohrhasen, 'zweiohrküken', was released and turns out to have an equally wonderful soundtrack (and guess what... *laughs* I haven't seen the movie yet, either).

so, I thought I'd share some of my favorite music with you, music that is so much part of my life now that I can't imagine it without it.

tonight I get to play bar-maid for half the night at a party that the boy's hockey club is hosting. dress code: some sort of costume since january 2 is a holiday in several parts of switzerland and has some local carnival-like customs. ^_^

so, I guess I should get moving and put on some funky clothing and make-up. ^___^

but before I do that, there's a couple of thank yous in order as I found some more christmas cards waiting for me when I went home for a few hours on thursday to drop off christmas presents, and take care of my plants and mail before coming back here to celebrate new years.

thank you so much for the lovely cards, lil_1337, dysis, and gundamnook. also, although ALL the cards I got are wonderful, I can't help but give lil_1337 the top score. *GRINS* as soon as I get home I shall scan and show it off, and you'll know why...

So, I'm back home. I'm a bit sad my trip is over, but it also feels good to be home. Well, except for the mountain of things I have to do within the next 3 weeks. But that's all right, I guess, since I've been basically slacking off for the past 4 weeks. ^^;

I came home to a load of mail, so a late THANK YOU for Christmas cards goes out to yuukihikari, meritjubet, hexadecimal00, and windsorblue. ^_______^

Also a big THANK YOU to everyone who made my trip such a wonderful experience. I had so much fun and I'm so happy I got to meet up with all of you. ♥ ♥!

Suitcases (and boxes) are mostly unpacked and laundry is done, too. Work tomorrow, so I'm leaving the taking down of Christmas decorations until the weekend.

Also? I need to get rid of some stuff A BIGGER CLOSET! >.<.

I'll figure it out on the weekend. Sleep now. e_e

So, we had our first concert tonight (one out of three).... and I couldn't sing. -.-" My throat hurts like a bitch and my voice is gone due to a nasty cold. Worst timing EVER. I can't believe it! *seethes* And I was so careful, too, always wearing a scarf, getting enough vitamins etc. ;_; So not fair. The next concert is tomorrow, so I really hope my throat is better by then. It'd better be. *gnashes teeth*

Thank you to everyone who replied to my last post. It means very much to me, and although it still hurts, knowing that you care makes it easier to bear. Individual replies I'm putting off until tomorrow when I can actually can keep my eyes open. e_e

Still no internet at home. Woe. ;_;

And my DVD player is dead. So is my camera. WTF? -.-

I might go and buy a new DVD player today as I've seen a codefree one for about $60. That's pretty reasonable, I'd say.

I also still need a table and chairs for my kitchen. It's terribly empty and I own but one chair. ^^;

I did manage to put up my posters and stuff yesterday with the help of a friend, so the place does look more than just liveable now. ^_^

Easter Sunday was busy from early morning until late at night with the family get-together at my parents' house. Lots of yummy food and of course, the easter egg hunt in our garden. *grins* My little cousins are so cute. *^_^* But a bit tiring, too. *ahem*

The no-internet-status has one up side. I've been watching stuff. I finished Tactics and La Corda D'Oro as well as season 2 and 3 of Queer as Folk, and I'm well into season 4. Brian and Justin - can you be any cuter by trying not to be cute? XD XD

Hiroshima and Miyajima - a quite famous island by Hiroshima and one of the top tourist spots in Japan

Mount Koya - One of Japan's big Buddhist centers with the head temple of the Shingon sect - a bit south of Osaka

Ise - Ise Jingu - one of the holiest places in Japan - 6.5 million Japanese go there every year
