so, yes, I'm back from my (amazing, but way too short) vacation at home in Wisconsin. I had the most WONDERFUL time, spent time with many people I love and always miss very much, swam in the pool and/or in a couple of lakes almost every day, sunbathed and relaxed, rummaged through garage sales, flea markets, and antique malls, did a lot of shopping in general (OMG, so much shopping.. XD duh! who am I kidding. it's always like that when I visit the States XD), even did some touristy things (Door County is SUCH a lovely place!), ate all the things I love so much but that we don't have here, and generally enjoyed the freedom and the warm (and sometimes very hot) weather, as it should be in summer XD!

I got back home Monday morning, unpacked a couple of things, went to a friend's place to celebrate August 1 (HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWITZERLAND! :D), went to work Tuesday morning, came home and pretty much crashed after unpacking a couple more things, unpacked more this morning before going to work... why yes, there's a pattern. XD I'm almost done now, though (except for laundry)...

I still need to sort through all the pics before I can show them off, which might take a little while (please poke me if I get lazy again and forget about it!). But I wanted to share something anyway, so I took some pics of tonight's dessert (part of it, anyway. XD)...I hope you enjoy these, too.

I really like pictures of pretty things that make me happy, so I might even start a series of "happiness is..." or something like that....*ponders*. maybe that's the motivation I need to get back on track on here again. ^^;;;

*sigh* I hate it when time goes by so fast.

It's my last day in San Diego with Kara and I sitting at the window, enjoying the view over the ocean one more time. It's totally different from the first time. The sea is rough and there's a lot of clouds. It looks like it's about to rain. Still beautiful, though.

I got back from visiting Muskrit yesterday night. Oi-Kay picked me up from the airport and took me out to dinner with some friends. Oh, was it ever nice. ^__^

While up in Berkeley I also got to meet nekofreak and ponderosa121 for a couple of hours. Fun fun fun.

And of course Muskrit. Oh Muskrit. ♥♥! ^_^ How am I going to miss storytime with Muskrit now that I have experienced it first hand? And muskrit chin hugs...*^_^*

We were going to spend the day in LA today, but it looks like it's going to be a slower day than anticipated as my left foot hurts as soon as I step on it. The doctor Kara's dad says it's tendonitis. Joy. -.-"

We're still gonna go up to LA, just a bit later and not for as long as planned. And then Kara's going to drop me off at windsorblue's where I'm going to spend the last two nights. Yay!

Now let's hope I won't get stuck at any airports because of snowstorms or the like. I'm also desperately hoping for all my luggage to get there with me. ^^;

Yes, that's right. I booked (and paid the first installment) of my flight today! ^____^

I'm flying into Appleton on December 26, 9pm, and I'll be staying until January 9.

And then I'm off to San Diego and LA for another two weeks. *beams*

So excited, yay!

We're going to leave for Acen within the next half hour. *grins* It's gonna be a bit different this year, as for one, because we're driving down to Chicago on Thursday already instead of Friday morning, and also because I know that I won't spend much money in the dealers room. ^^; Why buy things that I can get in Japan, too, some of them even cheaper... we are not going to mention all the money I spent the last week up here, though *cough*

Anyway, I'm flying back to Japan on Sunday, arriving there on Monday. I don't dare thinking about how much work awaits me. *shudders and hides*

Not thinking about that yet, though. 'Cause, hey, it's Acen! XD

I'm here. In one piece and with all my luggage. *swings little swiss flag*

But I had to go see my girl- and boyscouts on their camp sites first, before I could make this post, since I had promised to visit them when I get back. My brother and a couple of my friends here are leaders, but the boys and girls were in different camps, so I had to drive around quite a bit.
Was fun, though. I came back smelling like camp fire......*grins* oh, all the memories......*wistful smile*

So, yeah, I made it back safely and, surprisingly, right on time. Both my flights did take off with a delay, but they both made up for it on the way. ^__^"

However, I can hardly believe how fast those two weeks were over. *shakes head* I don't know where all the time went..... it seemed like I just arrived at the airport,and then it was already time to say goodbye again and leave behind the place and the people I have come to love so much. It is hard to leave, every time, not because I don't like coming back to Switzerland - I love my country - but I never know when I will see them again.

It's a special place, a place, where I feel loved and appreciated, where I have a second family that means as much to me as my own, where I have friends who accept me the way I am, where I get hugged and cuddled, because people know how much I love and need that.

You guys have no idea how happy it makes me to be able to get back there and feel at home again right away. Those two weeks were so much fun, and I enjoyed every single bit of it. Thank you all, for making this possible, for making me feel loved, for making me feel at home, and for caring about me. I can't even start to explain how much it means to me. Thank you. *smiles*

And now that the sappy part is over I will go to bed and collapse, since I can hardly keep my eyes open.... I'll have a lot of homework to catch up on during the next few days, but it was so worth it! ^____^

YES! Plane is leaving in 3 hours..... I haven't gone to bed yet, and I won't anymore....will sleep on the plane. *nodnod*

I'll be gone for two weeks. I will have internet access from time to time, though.....

um...I hope I got everything....I think I should go check again....


Oh, and belina is the greatest cause she stayed up with me and will bring me to the airport shortly....^_____^
