Sunday, 20 June 2004 11:43 pm...I'll succumb to my everpresent curiousity....-_-" which know , at some point, will be my downfall
*smirks at
lev* yes, my dear, this is another question meme....just because I can. Feel free to skip. ^_~
There is a huge chunk of you that I don't even have a clue about. I don't know how old a lot of you are, or where you live, or basic normal things. Even your first names.
This is the problem with LJ; we all think we are so close, and yet we know nothing about each other.
So, I'm going to rectify it with this meme.
I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. I promise, I will not make fun of you. Ask more than one thing if you want.
I then invite you to do the same, by putting this meme in your journal. Remember, seriously basic stupid questions, don't be embarrassed, you would be really shocked what I don't know about you. Or you can even ask me something really bizarre and silly; it's up to you.

Date: Monday, 21 June 2004 12:44 am (UTC)Also what's your favourite Wufei pairing. And why.
My last question is RL related. What's your favourite thing about your country? And if you could take a visitor to one particular spot, where would it be?

Date: Monday, 21 June 2004 06:05 pm (UTC)1. Wufei...hn... ok, when I saw him in the series for the very first time, I didn't like him. Not really. Then throughout the rest of the series, I began to ask myself what could be the reason for someone to become such a prick... and I was somewhat intrigued. Then, when I started reading fanfiction, I was very disappointed by the lack of Wufei-fics, in which he wasn't a nose-bleeding, women-hating, justice-screaming idiot, so I first read what I could get my hands on - which was basically 1x2 and 3x4 ...
Then in time, I started looking for more fiction which had a good Wufei in it. And my *little* obsession began...
Now, I love black hair and black eyes. In general. I also like white clothing on tanned skin... so that would be why I like his looks.
And his character just fascinates me. Immensely. I have a thing for men who act cool and oh so tough, but inside are vulnerable. I love the challenge of finding that soft core, exploring it. There are so many things in people's lives that shape their personality, and Wufei's character just leaves so many possibilities of what may cause him to act the way he does. During the series, there is so much anger in him, and it makes me curious as to how he'll manage to overcome that and go on with his life once the war ends.
*cough* you know, I could go on and on here...but I think you get the picture, so I'll spare you from even more rambling...
2. My favorite Wufei pairing... I really don't know. I can find reasons for a couple of pairings. actually, it would be easier for me to tell about the ones I don't like:
I really don't like 13x5 - because I don't like Treize, and I just can't see them together. I just can't.
I don't care much for 5x6 for the simple reason that I believe that Zechs belongs with Noin. However, if it's well written and the plot intrigues me, I'll read it.
For every other pairing, I'm game. ^_^ And I do have a special liking for 5xR and 4x5 at the moment, just because I think they work very well, but there are only so very few out there. ^_^"
3. I love my country because it is so very green and clean. Like you said about NZ, there is a lot of greenery, even in the cities. And I love the mountains. They are just spectacular. Especially when there is a glacier.
Which is why I would take people to the place where you have the following view:

Date: Monday, 21 June 2004 07:28 am (UTC)What is your most favorite memory from childhood and why?

Date: Monday, 21 June 2004 06:28 pm (UTC)I don't think I can pinpoint one, but I am very fond of my memories of summer vacation with my grandparents, when my grandpa was still alive. For 2 years in a row, I went with them to St. Moritz, a village in the mountains, to go hiking for two weeks. They would show me all the pretty mountain flowers, naming them, explain things to me, answer all my questions, tell me lots of legends and stories. And nature is just absolutely beautiful there..... ^_^

If you could choose your academic path again, would you do something different? If yes, what and why? (i.e. science, arts, languages, etc)

Date: Monday, 21 June 2004 06:38 pm (UTC)I did excel during my year in college in the US, which I'm very proud of.
Now, I'm doing ok again. ^_^
I hope that answers that question...
2. Nope, would do /exactly/ the same again. ^___^

Now, onto your question.
Actually, I didn't have much of a choice. I wanted to learn English. I wanted to go abroad not only for a few months but for a whole year. And I wanted to go before I started studying in Switzerland.
The program I chose was the only one available. US colleges were the only ones in the world that offered such an exchange. ^_^ so that's how I ended up over there. Why Wisconsin? I have no clue.
However, I'm very, very happy everything happened the way it did...^_~

question/answer
Date: Wednesday, 23 June 2004 08:14 am (UTC)i think we all kinda wondered that. i mean, i wouldn't want it taken back or anything... but i really wondered why they put you here. what, did they match you by climate? jeez.
i have a question: you've been all over the u.s. where else would you like to go, or experience somewhere else? be as specific as you can.
