Actually, earthquakes are kind of fun when they're over with and you realize that you and the surrounding buildings are still standing. I think the one Renee and I went through in Cuernavaca was around a 6.5, and it only lasted for a couple seconds. The one in Ixtapa was a bit unnerving, though, especially when the next-day aftershocks kick in!
