First of all, a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to one of the sweetest and cutest people online.
I hope you have a great one,
misanagi! *smooch*

uni workload so far for this semester:
- 5 classes: Japanese Divination Practices, Psycholinguistics, (Development of) Writing Systems of the World, Second Language Acquisition, and Areal Typology
- 5 presentations (about 45 minutes each)
- 3 big papers (one about 20 pages, two 10-15 pages)
- 2-3 exams (most likely oral exams)
- weekly readings for all classes
The hardest class is going to be my Japanese class. We have to read an entire book in Japanese (~250 pages), present it in class, and write a 20 page paper on it. Aaaand, all secondary sources are in Japanese, too. Shoot me now? >.<. [/whining] *cough*
I also agreed to give a lecture on Japanese morphology in one of the Introduction to Linguistics classes in the English Department so the students can get a view on the subject from a language completely different from English. Which I like doing. ^_^ I love talking about Japanese linguistics. *pets inner geek*

Last but not least: I'M GOING TO JAPAN NEXT MARCH! *bouncebounce* for two weeks. ^_________^

Date: Wednesday, 3 October 2007 01:09 am (UTC)So, have I ever mentioned to you that I fold easily and fit into most overhead storage compartments? You could even check me if you need; I really don't take up too much room. Japan in March sounds wonderful, you know. Just saying.....
