I want to go home...

So. I'm at work.

I would rather not be at work. I usually don't mind my job, but today is one of those days where you don't feel like working at all, no matter how much you like your job. It's hot. And stuffy. And I can see the glittering lake from my office window. *pout* No fair.

Anyway, I got back from Austria yesterday (yes, yes, I completely forgot to make an entry that I was going in the first place. ^^; I was going to last Friday, but then things got insanely busy at work and I never got around doing it.) Much fun was had, as always when I'm with iniq *squish* We went to Vienna (one day), we went swimming in the river (two days), we had icecream (every day), we went shopping (a lot) and generally enjoyed being lazy. ^___^

Tomorrow morning I'm flying to Germany to attend a wedding (whee, pretty dress!) I'll be back Sunday night.

On the fannish front...>_> can I say it again? OMG!INITIAL D! *_* I finished 2nd stage this morning on the train and couldn't help having a peek at the first episode of 4th stage. Unfortunately, I only have the first 5 eps of 4th stage so far. *prods download*

Aaaand, I want fic now. Good fic. Involving Takahashi Ryousuke. With black hair (wtf, 2nd stage?!). Oh, and Keisuke. Or Takumi. Or both of them. *glee*

oh how cool! spending the week with iniq, and jsut being lazy sounds so nice. i'm glad you had a good time. welcome home!

I do feel a bit guilty for lazying around since I /should/ be working on my thesis... but I just couldn't pass up the opportunity. ^^; And it was too hot to concentrate, anyway.

I'm so full of squee over Initial D, it's not even funny. There's just /something/ about this series that excites more than anything I've watched in a long time, even though I still love other series a lot, too. It's just a different kind of excitement, I guess.

It's also a series that I wouldn't tell anyone they /have/ to watch it or promise that they will enjoy it, even though I'm so very much in love with it. Not sure why, but I think this is one you just have to give a try and either you'll get sucked in or you won't. ^_^;

If you want pure, unadulterated Initial D crack, my suggestion would be watch the live action movie. I just can't bring myself to do it but from what I've seen, it's WTF!? to the extreme.

It's stages 1-3 squished together, with characters eliminated, and, that thing that kills me, stuff added in. I've seen enough movies images and spoilers to know it would make my brain explode.

If you can find any fic by Inky, ( a lot of her fics are older and have been eaten by the internets) those would be my recs. I don't read Kyoudai slash, so I have no recs for you. K went through a massive Ryosuke/Takumi phase, I'm sorry to say I didn't, so I have very few recs for you. Initial D fics were sparse when I was really interested. Now, I'm just sort of scared to go look >_>;
